Spring – Applied Health Sciences Consulting is pleased to announce the publication of “A Productivity Practicum”, written by AHS-C principal Keith J. Gott. The book, written as a workbook, includes Reviews after each chapter and Exercises after key chapters. Solutions, not simply answers, are included for each question.
Further, access to our associated online testing service is included with the book. When managers take short tests, before and after using the workbook, senior management can measure the value of the practicum and determine any areas requiring additional focus.

Operational Modeling and Simulation provides an organization the ability to evaluate process performance and resources needed. Evaluating processes through simulation can improve efficiency, reduce cost and maximize ROI. Summer – Applied Health Sciences Consulting has partnered with The Weston Group (Sioux City, IA), to expand their breadth of resources and provide Human Resource-focused consulting services to healthcare clients including Human Resources departmental operational reviews, Compensation analysis, Organizational redesign and Labor relations issues.
Summer – Applied Health Sciences Consulting has partnered with Mark Dimengo, RN, MPA/HCA, to expand resources and provide best practice approaches to improving hospital surgical departments’ operations. Mr. Dimengo has over twenty-five years of healthcare industry experience including development and implementation of strategic and operational plans for improving surgery and nursing efficiency, effectiveness and throughput.
Spring – Applied Health Sciences Consulting has partnered with Executive Information Systems, Inc. (Lake Oswego, OR) to provide improved breadth of services to our clients. EIS offers the highest caliber consultative services in the areas of labor productivity, benchmarking, implementing and sustaining improvement and executive financial reporting and forecasting systems. Paul Fogel, the company’s president, is a frequent speaker for the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Fogel wrote “Superior Productivity in Health Care Organizations: How to Get It, How to Keep It”, published by Health Professions Press in 2003.
